Object Carpet X Ippolito Fleitz Group, Walk X Talk | YellowtraceWALK x TALK is a discreet and minimalistic carpet that could be staged in any building as an elegant understatement.

Object Carpet X Ippolito Fleitz Group, Moove X Groove | YellowtraceMOVE x GROOVE is the chameleon of the new collection with its unexpectedly diverse and seemingly endless textures and colour schemes. Its design plays with alternating close-up and distant effects. Matt and grainy in texture, it appears best on large surfaces.

MEET x BEAT reinterprets nature with its striking texture and strong blend in a surprising new way.

FLOW x GLOW reveals its sophistication in its details, and is natural and artificial at the same time. Small coloured sparks flicker out of the regular structure in its sisal-like appearance.

Remember the days when the thought of ‘commercial carpet’ made you want to vomit a little in your mouth? No. Well, maybe that’s just me. Commercial carpet has, no doubt, come a long way in recent years, and German company OBJECT CARPET has just taken things up another notch. And don’t even get me started on how cool this campaign is. A case study on how to conceptualise, art direct and produce imagery and video content. Kudos!

With a guiding principle of “Desire for carpet”, OBJECT CARPET’s collaboration with Ippolito Fleitz Group offers a kaleidoscope of fascinating colours and textures with an unparalleled variety of combination options. Renowned for their award-winning projects across the design of buildings, interiors, landscapes and products, the Stuttgart-based multidisciplinary studio had developed a new collection for spaces where people are active, creative, communicate with one another, or simply want to relax and feel comfortable.

CRAZE x CHASE is evocative with its unconventional, contrasting dynamics that elevates old patterns to new heights. Original colour combinations and business-like tones can open a vast range of spaces, even in museums.

The collection was conceived to enable a variety of spatial atmospheres that convey a sense of comfort, cosiness and sensuality. In the early design phase, textures and colours were developed, tested and combined for maximum effects. The material and colour collages feature unexpected combination such as shaggy sheepskin next to fine raw silk, course raffia mixed with trendy nail varnish and bright Yves Klein blue.

Three long years of experiments and tests in the colour laboratory led to the creation of new possibilities that break new ground of technical feasibility. The result is nothing other than praiseworthy – a collection with eight new materials in 111 colour combinations. Wowzer.

HIGHS x SIGHS (shown in foreground) conveys a sense of warm elegance and security. With its dense pile, the carpet is so invitingly soft that you will want to sit down on it and let out a sigh of relaxation.

Object Carpet X Ippolito Fleitz Group, Deal X Feel | Yellowtrace
DEAL x FEEL is quite expressive despite its fine loop. Intertwining matt and shiny, wool and cotton create a high-contrast blending effect, either in pastel or bright colours.

Interesting and varied textures give each carpet its special appearance. Names like SKILL x CHILL or MOVE x GROOVE characterize the feeling, mood and atmosphere of the respective look.

The colour variations, from subtle natural tones to surprisingly experimental, play a decisive role in this collection. Like a new outfit, their refined interplay change the carpets’ visual effect, creating the perfect base for different types of spaces – a hotel room, a reception area, an educational institution or a high-end office interior.
