Some of you may be aware that this is not the first time we are taking about this LA house. No sir. Having said that, the home of American architect and educator, Ray Kappe, is special and well worth revisiting, especially as we can now enjoy it with an added benefit of video.

A modern masterpiece of glass and timber, this house is often referenced as one of the greatest residences in Southern California. Situated on a steep slope on a property that has natural springs running through, the raised house is built onto six concrete towers that support the home in its entirety, becoming one of Kappe’s most celebrated works. Read the full feature on NOWNESS, and revisit our previous post via the link below.
