Visiting Triennale di Milano is always a treat. This design museum plays host to a number of interesting shows and intelligent exhibitions. The building itself is also beautiful, with a glorious garden and a fantastic bookshop I could get lost in for hours.

What once was one of the best and most significant satellite events during the Milan Design Week, Tortona has been experiencing a rapid and consistent decline in the last few years. The area continues to lack the atmosphere and a sense of place, with only a handful of interesting shows dotted around.
