Light Container by Spanish designer Martín Azúa is a floating light suspended inside a painted metal basket. “Light is immaterial, but at the same time lamps are also objects. In this case we treat light as something with weight and volume,” says Azúa. These pendant lights are available in three different sizes, and can be hung individually or in groups of 2 or 3. The inner blown glass diffuser generates a warm, dim light that produces soft shadows, making it suitable for a range of different spaces. Each light is numbered and signed, limited to 5000 units.

Martín Azúa is a Basque designer working in Barcelona since 1994. Graduate in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, he practices as an object and space designer for clients in parallel to creating more speculative work. He is a designers who believes that experimental methods are a fundamental part of the design process.

By the way, did you realise this is yet another thin black lines post? You can run but you cannot hide. Thin black lines have officially taken over the world.
