Introducing #Milantrace2019 The Definitive Salone del Mobile Milan Design Week Review by Yellowtrace

Guys! Guess what?

MILANTRACE is back!

For the new kids on the block who’re going – huh?, allow me to elaborate. MILANTRACE is our massive annual project (think of it as a slight suicide mission) that brings unparalleled coverage of Milan Design Week & Salone del Mobile – the world’s premier design events – via our digital report and live talk series hosted around Australia. And let it be known that MILANTRACE 2019, the definitive Milan Design Week review presented by Yellowtrace in partnership with Living Edge, will be bigger, bolder and even better than ever before. At least that’s the plan!

I feel crazy proud to continue building on the success of our critically acclaimed sell-out events since 2014, and our ongoing relationship with our pals at Living Edge, who are once again the Principal Partner for MILANTRACE 2019.

The mould-breaking format of what is, without a doubt, the most comprehensive, unbiased and democratic overview of Salone del Mobile & Milan Design Week, is delivered as an immersive audiovisual experience with original photography, video content, signature critical insight, honest commentary and plenty of personality. And you don’t have to take it from me – others have described our MILANTRACE talks and reports as the next best thing to being in Milan, minus the blisters. And the hangovers.

Team Yellowtrace will spend the entire week (8th to 14th April 2019) on the ground in Milan, deploying our superhuman ability to source striking and inspiring content, stopping at nothing until we’ve combed the fair and the city on your behalf. Upon our return, we will report on some of the highlights from Milan right here on these pages, in parallel to delivering a National Speaking Tour which will bring a little slice of Milan to the Australian design community. We will also be offering for purchase online access to the exclusive uncut MILANTRACE 2019 Digital Report. The 2019 Report will contain everything presented in the talks, plus additional information we simply couldn’t fit in our jam-packed live events.

In order to respond to the growing demand for MILANTRACE, this year our Sydney and Melbourne events will take place in larger venues (SMC Conference Centre in Sydney and Deakin Edge at Fed Square in Melbourne). Another exciting bit of news for 2019 is that we are also including (R)Adelaide on the official talk circuit – how awesome is that, man? I know! I bloody love Adelaide!

Our Digital Report will be made available following the completion of MILANTRACE 2019 Talk Series.

I seriously cannot wait to reveal more MILANTRACE 2019 amazingness in the coming weeks. As always, I feel profoundly grateful to you all for your ongoing love and support for this crazy ambitious project, which makes the gruelling workload that’s about to ensue seem completely worth it.

If you are travelling to Milan yourself, we are putting together our updated Milan Design Week Survival Kit & Our Must-See Milan Itinerary (also relevant for travel to Milan outside of Salone), followed by a Milan Design Week & Salone del Mobile 2019 Preview.

Love you long time,
Mama Yellowtrace xx
