Faye Toogood Birkenstock Bed Yellowtrace 07

Whether in the realms of art, fashion or design, not many are able to move so freely between creative disciplines as the British designer Faye Toogood.

Complementing the world of Birkenstock, Toogood has created a new sculptural bed, ready to host your wildest dreams. Puffy layers of canvas and leather upholstery create a soft form, which sits on a cork base with Birkenstock’s natural mattress and slatted frame incorporated within.

The headboard and top surround are upholstered in cream leather, embracing its natural texture. The signature materials of the Toogood and Birkenstock collection; cork, leather and canvas are brought together in this single piece.

Toogood’s and Birkenstock collaboration also includes three new sandal styles: the Forager, the Mudlark and the Beachcomber, offered in a signature palette of natural and tactile materials; felt, canvas and leather in pure tones of cream, grey, black and yellow.

Known for her sculptural approach, Toogood’s interpretations draw inspiration from the idea of objets trouvés – objects and artworks from the past unearthed for display. With their refined shapes and organic feel, the collection brings together the core brand strengths of function and sculptural design to all aspects of daily life.
