Buff Melbourne Nail Salon by Golden, Grooming Interiors | Yellowtrace

Melbourne has welcomed the arrival of Buff, a modern nail studio that brings new standard in hygiene and luxury to the beauty domain. Brought to life by Golden and The Melbourne Builder, the salon aims to play with the visitor’s sense of sight, smell and sound, creating a relaxing, immersive experience for all those who enter.

Approaching Buff’s blue dipped brick façade on Church Street in Brighton, one may expect the colourful graphic aesthetic of the exterior to continue within. However, the energetic outer shell – complete with a bold graffiti-style mural by Georgia Harvey, gives way to a dreamy neutral interior that lies within. A beige vaulted ceiling sits above patrons, strips of warm light cast shadows that playfully dance across the room. High-gloss Marblo counters, polished plaster walls, plumb-coloured manicure chairs and terrazzo tiles combine to create a relaxing, yet undeniably contemporary feel – the bright harsh artificial light and tired interiors of a conventional nail salon nowhere to be found.

Meticulously design elements such as the leathered granite wash station and an industry-first ‘Hygiene Lab,’ allow for the highest client hygiene standards to be upheld while achieving a welcoming and modern aesthetic.

Daniel Stellini, Golden studio Director, explains they are “thrilled to have created a design that is reflective of the high-quality treatment experience”. Buff interior environment is both boutique and specialist, reflective of the philosophy of the brand.
