Belgian architect Nicolas Schuybroek established his practice in Brussels 2011. Schuybroek began his career in Montreal, Canada working for INTEGRAL Jean Beaudoin. Most recently, he spent five years working as a project director for Vincent Van Duysen in Antwerp, handling a variety of high-end design projects in Belgium and beyond.

Schuybroek‘s projects are diverse and dispersed throughout the globe. From private homes, lofts to retail spaces, he has collaborated on a number of architectural competitions with his first employer INTEGRAL Jean Beaudoin.

What I really love about this man’s work is his considered approach, relentless consistency and understated luxury captured in each space. His projects explore a sharp vision of space and materials, while maintaining a feeling of warmth. In just under 2 years, Schuybroek has managed to undertake projects on the Cote d’Azur (France), Ibiza (Spain) and Belgian coast amongst other places. Impressive. He generously shared three beautiful projects with us – JR Loft in Brussels, RK Apartment in Paris, and retail interior for Bowen in Brussels in collaboration with Marc Merckx Interiors.

Nicolas Schuybroek was born and raised in Brussels. Having been educated in English, French and Dutch-speaking schools, he is perfectly tri-lingual and is used to working in those three languages. Jealous much? Yeah, me too…
