Oh. My. Goodness. Actually… Before we begin, I just need to get something off my chest. One of my friends overheard someone say ‘OMG’ over the weekend. As in they actually said “Oh Em Gee”. And this is not the first time I’ve heard about this. Seriously, what is going on? Is this a case of an acronym turned into an official word all of a sudden? Really? Or should I say – WTF? Am I just too old to get it? Anyway, I digress.

What I really wanted to bring your attention to were these incredible lights by the German born, Paris based Christian Haas. I’m speechless. Every once in a while I come across something so amazing that I wish I thought of it myself. This is one of those products. So incredibly clever and just so beautiful.

Ropes are handmade in France and Germany, and combine energy-efficient LED technology with a soft textile look. Each piece is unique and individually numbered according to their style and technique.

Available to purchase from Colette in Paris.

What an amazing find! I’ve always loved the hanging rope work of designers such as Smalltown from Melbourne, but this is such a wonderful way to transform these decorative pieces into a practical fixture!
