How could you not love a candid statement laced with irony? Exactly. Allow me to introduce you to Wasted Rita – “a visual artist, agent provocateur, anti-everything and jerk magnet based in Porto, Portugal when not traveling around the world”. She describes herself as “sarcastic as needed, and a full-time thinker who must write about life, human behaviours and play with words to keep breathing.”

Her (almost) daily blog became famous for its funny drawings and hand lettering quotes, and has been featured in countless art & graphic design websites, several magazines and a few books.

Rita studied at a religious college and “grew up listening to Black Flag, turning out to be a harsh mixture between Jesus Christ and punk-rock”. Describing herself as “rough and rude at first sight” but above all she’s “just a passionate kid doing what she thinks she should”.
