The whimsical lamp allows one to use any type of hat as a lampshade in which to diffuse the LED used for illumination. An essential and pure form is made up of a thin aluminium stem and elegant square-shaped base with an optical switch with “Soft Touch” technology and a USB port for recharging the most common brands of smartphone and tablets.Presented at the 2013 Salone del Mobile as a prototype, the lamp’s simple form acts as a base whereby the owner can customise it with their own headwear. Combining the functions of two things which would otherwise not be associated with one another, resulting in a playful, interactive lighting piece.
