The Tyrella Chair for which the original drawing was made in response to Tyrella beach in County Down, Northern Ireland. This is a very special place for Peter and especially Sally as it goes back to her childhood. How lovely.

Calligraphic Chairs (c.1960s) were restored, reupholstered, hand embroidered and exhibited at Midcentury Modern.

I’m in love. These chairs, that embroidery. What’s not to love.

These pieces are a result of a collaboration between Peter Nencini and Sally Nencini. Peter describes himself as a “making-looking-thinking of an illustrator-designer-lecturer”, and Sally recycles and re-uses vintage textiles, inspired to make new from old. She also does bespoke traditional and modern upholstery.

    I’m so pleased to see Sally and Peter’s work getting the worldwide recognition it deserves. I featured them on on my blog a while ago and will hopefully be meeting up with them both this summer when they come over to the south of France. A very talented couple, indeed!

    Love the needlework. It did remind of home economics projects I used to do when I was in school. But they are not as pretty as those though. Love em all! :)
