This is such a fascinating birds-eye-view image series by Auckland based John Crawford, who is one of New Zealand’s best known photographers. The juxtaposition of single naked body placed within carefully arranged set-ups at interesting locations is truly bizarre, but something about it made me stop and look. Perhaps it’s the fact that the images are so striking and impeccably composed, with a “Where’s Wally?” element that makes them quirky and hilarious.

John says his aim is to “capture images that have a high degree of interest and contrast, don’t look too technical, and are easy to look at and enjoy.” I’d say he certainly achieved that with this fantastic series. 10 points from me. Clearly.
