Archie Rose Distillery is Sydney‘s first distillery since 1853. In what’s an exemplary case of adaptive reuse, local practice Acme & Co have taken an unremarkable steel shed and transformed it into a compelling new establishment where artisanal making takes centre stage. By deftly interweaving the education and enjoyment of its guests with the industrial processes of distillation and aging, the Distillery embodies a total sensory journey.

This project has been shortlisted for the 2015 NSW Architecture Awards.
