Charlotte Perriand’s Miami beach house was designed in 1934. Eight Decades later Louis Vuitton built it for a Design Miami 2013 satellite exhibition.

Louis Vuitton’s Objets Nomades at Design Miami 2012.

    12th December

What could one expect from a partnership between luxury French fashion house Louis Vuitton and a bunch of blue chip designers? Nothing other than the ultimate killer combination of extreme love variety! Launched at the recent Design Miami, “Objets Nomades” is a collection of 16-piece personal and travel accessories designed by 11 notable designers – think Fernando and Humberto Campana, Patricia Urquiola, Maarten Baas, Christian Liaigre and Oki Sato of Nendo amongst others. The designers were given the brief to come up with portable objects inspired by Louis Vuitton’s signature luggage and travel accessories…

Billie Achilleos is a young British artist who was recently commissioned by the French luxury fashion house, Louis Vuitton, for their 100th anniversary celebration of small leather goods. Keeping alive the skills of a forgotten craft, Billie created a miniature zoo of fantasy animals made exclusively from LV’s wallets, purses, belts, and accessories titled Maroquinaris Zoologicae…
