The genius of Dutch design studio Ina & Matt strikes again (I previously blogged about their work here) – this time in the form of a concept hotel in Amsterdam called Hotel The Exchange. Conceived and presented more like an art installation rather than a conventional interior, this hotel has rooms which are dressed like models on a catwalk. Engaged by Lloyd Hotel & Cultural Embassy (see previous blog post), Ina & Matt collaborated with students from AMFI – Amsterdam Fashion Institute to deliver the project. Man, imagine how trilling it would have been for AMFI students to work on this. So exciting!

Isn’t it a lovely, fresh and fun idea to create a hotel at the intersection of architecture, interiors, art installation and fashion, where you can sleep in high fashion and wake up in style? Above pictures are a little sneak peek into the interiors, and below are some images of concepts, work in progress and graphics. Wonderful stuff!

Preview of Hotel The Exchange.

Concept drawings and mock-ups.

Details of embroidered room numbers. I think I’ve just DIED!!!

Exclusive Mosa tiles developed especially for the hotel.

Communication, graphics + packaging design. Extreme love!
