And Mr Robledo is back with his second post (big round of applause please for the extra effort – I’m totally impressed). This time it’s all about a space-age interior, which will be featured in a lot more depth in the next issue of (inside). – x dana

Lately I’ve come wonder: Is the the ‘space age’ the day when we get to live in outer space, or perhaps more realistically, the day when we finally reconfigure our space to make perfect sense for our daily lives and needs?

I tend to like Dash Marshall‘s definition of space age. I came to halt when I recently saw his renovating prowess completely remake this tiny apartment in NYC. Considering the need for a bit more density (at least within an Australian context of urban living), I think it’s a visionary example of what can actually be done with such limited space (70 sqm to be exact). Resourceful to say the least, the complete overhaul was clear an investment, but one well worth it considering what these space-age lovers now own. After all, the project is exactly what Marshall has cleverly named it: An Apartment for Space-Age Lovers. Though a bit minimalist in terms of decor (for my own taste), I’m totally overcome by a sense of peace when I look at these images…
