Exquisite Lighting by Apparatus Studio // New York.Holy guacamole! Apparatus Studio's lighting is absolutely ridiculous. As in ridiculously amazing. If I may paraphrase someone dear to my heart - "give me brass, black and white and I'll drop my pants any-day". My sentiments exactly! Here,...
House Built Over a Pastry Shop by Yuko Nagayama & Associates // Chiba, Japan.'Katsutadai House' is located in the suburban neighborhood of Katsutadai (Chiba) East of Tokyo, Japan. The owners are a well established pastry shop known for their killer apple pie, baking for the neighbourhood since 1977. After 35 years...

House 1 by Pitsou Kedem // Ramat Hasharon, Israel.House 1 by Tel Aviv-based architecture studio Pitsou Kedem is an interesting little beast. To me it looks like a slightly offbeat marriage between the signature modernist aesthetic and the 80s. I know what you're thinking - how can that...
Bacopari House by UNA Arquitetos // São Paulo, Brazil. If I had to nominate a favourite typology in domestic architecture (it’s a question we’re all asked most days), it would be the courtyard house. And this one, by São Paulo’s UNA Arquitetos, is a cracker. A good courtyard house does...
