Franco-American designer Sophie Lou Jacobsen has unveiled her latest glassware collection that continues to explore the delicate intersection between functional design and organic beauty. Based in her New York studio, Jacobsen has crafted pieces that transform everyday rituals into moments of quiet poetry.

The new collection showcases Jacobsen’s signature approach to glassware design, where flowing forms and subtle transparency create objects that feel both timeless and contemporary. Each piece draws inspiration from nature’s own design language, particularly the graceful movement of blooming flowers and wildflowers swaying in gentle breezes.

The standout Pitcher exemplifies this philosophy perfectly. Crafted from clear glass with a gently curved silhouette, it pays homage to fan-shaped blooms whilst maintaining the functional clarity that modern living demands. It strikes that sweet spot between utilitarian necessity and decorative statement piece, elevating the ordinary into something rather special.

Complementing the pitcher, the Small Bowl features a softly rippled rim that echoes wildflowers in full bloom. Its low profile and compact design make it ideal for soups, side salads, or shared dips. The Bouquet Bowls, available as a set of two, continue this organic theme with their nature-inspired forms.

Adding a playful dimension to the collection, Le Verre Bonbon brings colour and whimsy to the table. These glasses feature softly irregular pastel stripes that follow the glass’s natural curves.

The sophisticated Spiral Candleholder rounds out the collection, evoking 1930s decorative arts with its sculptural presence. Available in single or double stem variations, it brings an element of old-world dining elegance to contemporary settings.

Since launching her eponymous studio in 2019, Jacobsen has consistently demonstrated her ability to create objects that blur the boundaries between functional items and decorative art. This latest collection reinforces her position as a designer who understands that the best home objects possess an innate power to surprise and delight through both form and function.
