Advanced Style is a fashion street-style blog with a powerful tag line – “Proof from the wise and silver haired set that personal style advances with age”. Ari Seth Cohen celebrates stylish forty-plus fashionistas who aren’t afraid to make a statement in their outfits with big personalities. I don’t know about you, but I find this so, so inspiring. In this day and age where the epitome of style and beauty is tender youth (and celebrity status), these amazing women with their appreciation of life, creativity and vitality serve as a real inspiration to young women everywhere.

Go on. I dare you to be this cool when you hit 70s, 80s, 90s… By the way, that last photo is of 99 year-old Rosie wearing a Hermes studded belt. Yes it is!

Ha!! I love this!! I think it is my favourite post ever!!! When I am old I plan to dye my hair purple, and prance around on the beach with a ridiculously big sunhat and red polkadot bikini!! Wrinkly little prune on sticks! How awesome that age permits eccentricities!! And fashion!

What style! I always think that children and the ‘older’ members in our society are the most naive and honest. They both don’t care to confirm, and consequently don’t give a damn on what others think about them or their style. It’s all self expression of beauty at it’s purist. You can see the joy in the faces of these ladies, They’re clearly loving life, And so they should!

All of us in the middle could learn a lot from this, I guess.

    Love the post.
