Orang+Utan Vegetarian Bar in Kiev by AKZ Architectura.

Artem Vakhrin and Katya Zuieva of AKZ Architectura have designed a new vegetarian bar in Kiev, Ukraine. The client, Yulia Savlepova, had a strong vision and was the catalyst in the conception of ideas. The goal was to create an interior that should capture the essence of Orang+Utan bar – “the city is a new ‘jungle’ and people who live there are new ‘smart animals’ in need of a place to fill up with energy”.

White tiles were applied to the walls and ceilings, accentuated with a contrasting black ground. The jungle theme appears in the bathroom with an abundance of artificial plants and pink-coated fruit. Bizarre-i-o. But we kind of dig it.
