Zumbo Cafe in Melbourne by Elenberg Fraser.

    13th January

Adriano Zumbo’s first Melbourne patisserie needed to be something that stood out from the pack – and that’s where Elenberg Fraser came in. Taken on as their second annual ‘Graduate School’ program, a team of junior architects and designers were given free reign on the front of house fitout for the patisserie wunderkind. The brief was simple – stay true to the Zumbo brand and use a bit of pink.

Slattery Australia Office by Elenberg Fraser // Melbourne.

    3rd April

Located in an office tower building in Melbourne’s CBD, the design for the Slattery Australia office was inspired by the “innovation and luxury of the uniforms and vehicles of Tron Legacy.” This slick and sexy interior is a study in sophisticated and restrained materials palette and impeccable detailing. Now, before I get into this any further – for those of you who may not know of Slattery, they are a national Quantity Surveying and Cost Engineering firm. Please make a warm welcome (back) to the supremely talented Melbourne architecture studio Elenberg Fraser. In designing the Move-in showroom in Melbourne, Elenberg Fraser worked that brick and made it their bitch, and I mean that in the nicest possible way of course…

Impossible Reality by Elenberg Fraser // 33 MacKenzie Street Residential Tower in Melbourne.

    25th January

It’s certainly not every day that I come across a multi residential tower that makes me squeal with excitmenet. And by “not every day” I mean – hardly ever. Particularly when we are taking about our beloved country permanently stained by countless examples of poorly designed, uninspiring, plain f*cking ugly residential developments. Pardon the French, but this issue causes profound levels of frustration in me. Alas, we are here to celebrate the good instead of the evil. Needless to say, I was absolutely thrilled to discover the latest residential project by the formidable Melbourne studio Elenberg Fraser…
