Young Melbourne-based architecture and interior design practice Tecture has completed a slick new fit out for a start-up premium blow dry bar business. The BLOW Australia makes a statement with its first boutique located at the Paris End of Little Collins Street in Melbourne CBD, completed in September.

Designed to captivate the attention of the visitors, the interior is the physical embodiment of The BLOW brand personality, with Tecture successfully embodying their core values – fresh, fast, feminine, bold and modern.

The signature colour of Ammo Pink is used to break up the small tenancy into three distinct zones. There’s the reception at the front, the workstations in the middle, and the wash stations at the back.

Pink concrete floors, pink textured walls, pink ceiling, and a pink marble reception desk all signal that “you have arrived”. At the back of the interior, flowing pink velvet curtains bring all of the drama to the wash stations. Throughout the space, Tecture have championed lighting by Australian design brands Ambience, Ross Gardam and Dowel Jones.

Vertical slatted screens and a feature mosaic wall with its Power Red neon sign that says “Good Hustle” further zone the space. At the same time, the screen allows glimpses through to the magic of the “Mane Event”, while maintaining clients’ privacy.

As a finishing touch, there is a smattering of playful and empowering quotes appearing throughout the space like “Femme & Fierce”, “Head Up, Gorgeous” and “Get it, Girl” that are guaranteed to bring a smile to everyone’s dial.
