Super Beautiful Two Level Duplex Apartment in Paris by RMGB.

Yes, I’m fully aware that this is now the 3rd project by RMGB we are featuring in a very short space of time, however you can’t tell me you’re not impressed. When work is this good, it deserves to be shared pretty hard. Non? Oui. I knew you’d understand.

The upper level of this duplex apartment in Paris by RMGB consists of a large living quarter, bringing together kitchen, dining and living in a single, rather delicious looking open spaces. I am particularly drawn to the design of the kitchen joinery, which appears as blocks of varying sizes and materiality, forming an abstract landscape. The extension of these kitchen blocks leads into the dining room, where a custom-made bench and a small bookshelf in smoked black glass can be found.

I am also losing my mind ever-so-slightly over the stunning solid timber oak flooring with wavy-edge planks from Bolefloor. Queue major heart palpitations here! Dutch company Bolefloor is the world’s first industrial-scale manufacturer of hardwood flooring with naturally curved lengths that follow a tree’s natural growth. Too beautiful.

The living room is built around a long black marble bench. The space features a selection of furniture pieces which are deliberately chosen for their compact size, making it easy to reconfigure the layout of this room. A ladder gives access to the mezzanine space, the interior of which is finished in a strong accent of electric blue, giving this room a playful edge.

Similarly to the upper floor, the lower level of the duplex also features a perfect shade of grey used for the walls and the flooring throughout. The floors are finished in seamless resin product in a colour to match, giving the space a minimalist and monolithic quality. The original exposed beams were treated with a natural varnish, adding a hint of warmth to the interior. Simply delicious. All of it. Yum!
