New Delhi-based studio Paul Matter has returned with a new collection of lighting titled Flutter. Made from a signature mid-century modern palette of elegant brass, copper, stone, leather and blown glass – each piece is handcrafted, and precisely balanced between simplicity and detail, and beauty and function. Flutter follows on from their debut collection, Tango – a cymbal-shaped pendant rendered in blackened and buffed brass, copper, and silver.

Flutter is a swing arm wall light, inspired by the deconstruction of a clock, pared back to only the minute and hour hands. Its slender and lengthy rotating arms swivel seamlessly from a vertical wall mounted spine to throw light where it’s needed – making the orb-shaped lamp as functional as it is beautiful.

The fixture has three variations – with arms stretched in various positions to suit different room styles. Choose from aged brass or burnt brass finish, matched to an etched glass globe. Their streamlines structure and hefty scale allow the pieces to stand alone, or be clustered together as primary or secondary light sources.
