Oh. My. GOODNESS! This loft is so friggin’ amazing that almost cannot bear it! Save me, my retinas are about to explode from too much beauty. I apologise in advance if any of you end up suffering from an overexposure to awesome – I take zero responsibility so please proceed at own risk. Now that I’ve talked it up (massively), I do hope you like this loft as mush as I do. And if you don’t, there can only be one possible explanation for it – something’s definitely wrong with you.

Kidding!

Oh come on, lighted up a little. Geez…

Ok. So…

French interior architect Grégoire De Lafforest is the man to blame for this beautiful Paris loft. Prior to setting up his own practice, Grégoire worked for a number of notable French design agencies, including the amazing Gilles & Boissier, with clients such as Hermes, Cartier and Veuve Clicquot.

What I really love about this home are the countless elements of surprise and a one-off aesthetic that is so unique to this loft. From the glass house that accommodates the kitchen, the pine tree in the living room (rumour has it the tree branches were cut and dried, and plastic needles were later attached), sublime colour palette, and a collection of finishes and furniture that effortlessly mixes the high with the low. Every corner of every room is bursting with visual interest and personality, yet the overall feel is calm, natural and unforced. And exquisitely beautiful.

I absolutely love it all to bits. In fact, can I please move in? There’s only one problem though – the loft is in Paris. I mean, who’d want to live there? What a dive.

Kidding!

But you knew that already.

Absolute perfection! Shows a great balance of colour, soft and hard textures with a good dose of quirkiness. The spaces have clearly been very well thought out too. My dream loft..
