Spanish interior design studio Masquespacio and furniture company Houtique unite forces once again to give us Arco furniture range and an extended collection of Wink lamps. This stunning ensemble of luxury pieces harks back to the seventies with an innovative and playful flair. Andrés Gramage, founder of Houtique and Ana Hernández, creative director at Masquespacio see the new Arco collection as a celebration of the unconventional while embracing a “fun, luxe and sexy” aesthetic.

The Arco Collection features five key products, ranging from lighting to soft furnishings. All the pieces dance with a beautiful interplay between materials and texture while maintaining a retro, yet contemporary feel. Arco, which translates to ‘arch’ in Spanish, sees this rounded detail applied across the entire collection, often merging metal with soft and sumptuous forms for contrasting effect.

The Mambo chair features plush house velvet upholstery and an organically curved backrest, which echoes the rhythm of its fringing detailing and a chrome metal base. Inspire by Ana Hernández’s obsession with observation and detail, the Wink Standing and ceiling lamps mimic the look of an all-seeing (winking eye) finished with soft, pastel coloured fringing that’s encased in a metal structure.

The Wink lamp, which launched earlier this year at Maison & Objet in Paris, welcomes two new members to the family – the floor lamp and wall light version.
