If you live in a city like Sydney, and you wonder how you could enter it’s unaffordable property market – this is how. Yes, I’m taking about smoke and mirrors…

Cocina con sentido(s) is a project by Paula Rosales from More-Co, who created this clever trompe l’oeil style installation which fits an entire apartment in a space which totals only 16sqm. I must say that I had to do a double-take when I first saw these images as I didn’t quite know what was going on. I was initially drawn to the graphic look of the black outlines on floors, walls and ceilings, before realising this was just a trick. Clever, no? Well, I thought so.

    As someone with 21.5 square metres in central Paris I’m fascinated with ideas to achieve a lot in small residential spaces. Orientation is key – impossible to put a dollar value on (ours has double windows looking out to a pedestrian street), and no clutter! Would love to see a floor plan of this. Er, where’s the bed?
