Edwina Corlette Gallery Launches Fine Art Limited Edition Prints Under The Print Studio.

Buying and collecting art isn’t exactly an economical past time. Nor is it easy to slice original paintings into the budget for projects that are, well, on a budget. Even so, art can extend the essence of design; add depth, emotion, history and context, individuality, or narrative to a space—it can be the missing piece in the puzzle, the cherry on top, or the apple of your eye.

To close the gap between pricey paintings and the fulfilment a piece of art can offer, Edwina Corlette Gallery in Brisbane has revealed fine art limited edition prints, sampling works from artists in her stable under the title The Print Studio.

The gallery launched the initiative in response to an increasing number of requests from interior designers, architects, hotels, property developers, and budding collectors for a more affordable alternative to buying paintings. Works will be printed on fine art archival German etching paper, using medium quality pigment inks. Like original artworks, each piece will come with a certificate of authenticity, stating the number in the edition run. Edition numbers will be limited to 25 only, plus an artist’s proof, and will be signed and numbered by the artist. Prints will be sold unframed, so buyers can choose the final look of the framed work.

The first Edwina Corlette artists to feature include Miranda Skoczek, Amber Wallis, Lyndal Hargrave, and Clara Hananiah. Still to come is Julian Meagher, who is also represented by Olsen Gallery in Sydney, and whose stunning oil still life and sceneries have an unmatched, washed watercolour effect.
