Restaurant Block by Dylan is a brand new lunch & brunch spot, the fifth in the Dylan-family, located in the centre of Helsinki, Finland. The interior was designed by Suvi-Maria SilvolaLaura Seppänen. The spacious restaurant is divided into two large areas, split across two levels. The upper space has an inner courtyard with a ceiling height of over 20 meters, which makes the quiet milieu unique.

Silvola & Seppänen added some vivid colours to the walls to refresh the neutral colour palette. This way the typical Scandinavian minimalism and clean lines meet vivid tones and bold shapes. The interior offer interesting details such as a timber 3D wall and grayscale artwork by graphic designer Jenni Ritamäki. The goal was to achieve an urban and relaxed feel to match with the clean and modern appearance. Petite metal structure brings contrast to the solid oak fixtures. Airy tubular shape can be seen in the furniture and lighting, but also in the white wall nets that are meant for hanging display. Design classics sit together with new and lesser known furniture designs.
