Dearest, dearest readers! Guess what? Yellowtrace is going to be 3 years old tomorrow! Far out, can you seriously believe it? I am honestly struggling with the concept. Where has the time gone?

I don’t know about you guys, but for my money, this has been one helluva year. We launched with a brand new look in January, introduced you to our crazy talented contributors, launched our Post Gallery, travelled to Paris for Maison & Design Week, were fortunate to receive some absolutely wonderful press… Not to mention the most significant personal transition that happened in April, when Husband and I became parents to baby yellowtrace. Oh my, what a ride. And whilst I’ve been adjusting to my new life and the delicious chaos of motherhood, the site has continued to grow and grow, and I’ve simply been doing my best to keep rolling with it! I feel most privileged to have your continued support, your readership and your company – I love that we get to hang out and indulge in some crazy awesome design, and that we are still having fun after all this time.

So you see, I would like to ask you for a little bit of your time, in hope that you will help us improve the site for next year by taking a moment to complete our 2012 reader survey. I truly value your time and your opinion, and as a reward for your efforts, completing the survey will give you the chance to win some incredible prizes. Oh yes, there are prizes and they are GOOD. In fact, given this is our 3rd birthday I thought it would be fitting to throw a little Yellow Party to celebrate this milestone. Weeee! In honour of our signature colour, yellowtrace has partnered with 9 of our valued friends and sponsors who are generously offering you the chance to win 13 fantastic prizes valued over $3,000 AUD! Totes amaze, no? Why don’t you move a little bit closer so I can tell you a bit more about the prizes.

1 // Volley Lounger (Volley Chair shown) from Tait, designed by Adam Goodrum. RRP $720.

“Volley is at ease in the lounge or living area, relaxing on the balcony or basking in the courtyard sunshine. It also enables the lamp to be folded into a neat package by a slight push on the top. Just open and unfold your new lamp.”

“Whether dressed with flowers or left on their own, this playful decoration will brighten up any room. Showtime Collection is a collection inspired by classical MGM musicals. The concepts behind these pieces explore the contrast between what is external and internal. A combination between organic forms and classical details is key to its development. It exhibits passion for finding ways were things that are not supposed to match, coexist in elegance. Very innovative material combinations like plastic and leather were used to create this unique collection.”

7 // Big Bold Ball Wall Art in Yellow, from I Need Nice Things.  RRP $210.

So there you have it. Please join me in thanking our sponsors for their gorgeous prizes, and please show them your support by visiting their websites and having a little snoop around their places. Your support for them will support yellowtrace, which makes us all a part of one happy, friendly and prosperous circle. Good times!

By the way, you have between today and Dec 14th to take the survey. Everyone can participate in the survey (please!) however only Australian residents are eligible to win prizes (sorry guys!). Winners will be drawn at random and contacted via e-mail – please refer our terms & conditions.

What a pity the beautiful (!!!) prizes are for Aussies only, as all of these would blend in perfectly in my home (lots of sunny yellow here). Just completed the survey though. Keep up the good work!!
