Tom Ford has put his Tadao Ando-designed Santa Fe ranch on the market for a cool $75 million USD. The real estate agent in charge of the sale, Kevin Bobolsky, had pulled out all stops with a specially commissioned architectural movie and a dedicated website. (The movie is seriously dramatic – you have to check it out!)

The Cerro Pelon Ranch encompasses 20,662 acres (circa 83 square kilometres!) of land in New Mexico. The site’s main residence hovers above a reflecting pool, and directly adjoins a horse barn with eight individual stalls. The circular spaces of the indoor and outdoor riding arenas contrast the residence’s more linear architecture.

The property also includes four separate staff quarters, two private guest houses — designed and built by Marmol Radziner — multiple warehouses to organise and house ranch equipment, and a private air strip and hanger. There are plans for another residential compound to be built on the highest point of the ranch, also designed by Tadao Ando.
