Crescent House by Andrew Burns // Sydney.
24th April
Crescent House celebrates the elements of light, darkness and fire. It’s a simple rectangular box, clad in torched timber and painstakingly detailed with paper thin roof and wall terminations. Formed in 2007 by Sergi Arbusà, Pablo Baqué, Chamo San & Pol Clusella, this talented group of young artists come from different disciplines and unify their vision through temporary interior installations. For their projects, Penique Productions create inflatable balloons which take over interior spaces and in turn give them a whole new identity. These balloons take on the lines of buildings and acquire their form, while the strong use of colour respond to the context…
Curtain Call by Ron Arad | Roundhouse, London.
22nd August
Curtain Call is a kick-ass installation designed by Ron Arad and located at London’s Roudhouse, a space dedicated to nurturing creative young talent and presenting an eclectic line up in Live Music, Theatre, Circus and New Media. Instead of a typical theatre or movie screen, Curtain Call offers a giant suspended circular installation made up of 5,600 silicon rods resulting in a 360-degree interactive venue. Given that these rods are translucent, the projections can be witnessed from both inside and outside the ‘circle’…
