The Jane Restaurant in Antwerp // Divine Fine Dining by Piet Boon.

Tucked in the middle of the up-and-coming Groen Kwartier, The Jane Antwerp is the much anticipated establishment of star chef Sergio Herman and chef Nick Bril. Crazy Beautiful Shop-able Luxury Apartment by The Line // New York City.

    28th March

Holy ***bleeeeep***! What a space! This crazy-beautiful apartment, situated in a classic Soho loft in NYC, epitomises stylish living. Despite looking like the home of someone extremely cool and annoyingly glamorous, The Apartment is in fact a shop-able boutique. The project was brought to life by fashion stylists Vanessa Traina and Morgan Wendelborn as an extension of their online store The Line.

Exquisite Lighting by Apparatus Studio // New York.

    26th March

Holy guacamole! Apparatus Studio’s lighting is absolutely ridiculous. As in ridiculously amazing. If I may paraphrase someone dear to my heart – “give me brass, black and white and I’ll drop my pants any-day”. My sentiments exactly! Here, aged brass, hand-etched glass, leather, porcelain and found objects are combined to an extraordinary effect. There’s a beautiful warm glow about these lights reserved only for the meticulously crafted hand-made objects. Handsome style and careful design create that elusive sense of balance between vintage and contemporary aesthetic.

FRAGILE Gallery by Atelier Mendini and Studiopepe // Milan, Italy.

    24th March

Alessandro and Francesco Mendini of Atelier Mendini, in collaboration with Studiopepe, recently opened the doors of their new two-storey Milanese gallery Fragile. Forget neutral spaces with toned-down style, and brace yourself for loads of personality and character – the pieces on show are linked in an unconventional way, becoming the main part of the exhibition as a developer of style and ideas. An innovative and active design hub, the showroom aims to produce a whole retail concept characterised by irony and strong personality that matches Fragile’s precious collection of historic design pieces.

Tour of Ace Hotels Around The World.

    21st March

Ace Hotels really do live up to their name. Each one has a unique style, a fascinating history, and an Ace Philosophy at its heart. For Ace, hospitality is “compassion” and the hotel is a “potential for real, fluid community.” Ace Hotels are iconic around the world for their fresh approach and for changing the way of the hotel industry across the board. Since Alex Calderwood, the late founder of Ace Hotels, decided to convert a maritime workers’ hotel in Seattle with his friends and open the first Ace Hotel in 1999, hotels haven’t been the same. With passionate, creative ideas driving them, Ace has lead the way for boutique hotels with a difference.
