    Bec Brittain is a Brooklyn-based lighting designer who draws upon a varied professional and educational background of architecture, philosophy, and product design. Brittain studied industrial design at Parsons, earned a BA in philosophy from New York University, followed by an architecture degree from The Architectural Association in London. Her work experience is as varied as her education. Brittain was a Lead Designer at an architecture firm, later shifting focus to design luxury door hardware. She is currently Design Director at Lindsey Adelman Studio while also building her own practice in product design.

    We know, we know – every freaking design blog and website out there seems to be rounding up Brazilian Architecture because of The FIFA World Cup 2014 currently in it’s finals week in Brazil. Ours is a little late because it took just a liiiiitle bit of research. You see, we wanted to dig a little deeper into the amazing design and architecture, both historic and current, and bring you a whole week of awesome Brazil related content. I guess you could say we are literally giving you The Full Brazilian all week. Ouch! Except this one won’t hurt, and it’s completely appropriate for all age groups.

    Moving Mountains is a Brooklyn-based design studio with a Hawaiian twist, established by designer Syrette Lew. As the company name suggests, Moving Mountains is a practice that wants to move beyond the boundaries of industrial design to the convergence of design, art, and fashion. The studio prides itself on creating a diverse range of hand-made products focused on a refined sense of simplicity and artful functionality.



    OBJECT FUTURE II // Future of Australian Design on Show in Melbourne.

    OBJECT FUTURE II is the second in a series of exhibitions that survey the latest design practice in Australia. The show opens on June 27 at Allpress Studio in Melbourne’s Collingwood. This independently organised and curated design exhibition will showcase the work by Australian based designers, offering a platform for emerging and established designers to exhibit ideas-based products.
