It’s a busy start on the design circuit with fairs & events raging left, right and centre. First there was IMM Cologne, Maison et Objet is literally just behind us, while Stockholm Furniture Fair is happening as we speak. But how to keep up with it all? Never fear, Yellowtrace is here! So let’s not beat around the bush – this post is dedicated to the best new gear unveiled at Maison&Objet design fair held in Paris, between 24th and 28th January 2014.
The making of Karl Lagerfeld images of iconic furniture from Cassina.
I nearly fell of my chair when I saw this collaboration between Karl and Cassina. This project was Lagerfeld’s first ever collaboration with a furniture brand. He was commissioned to photograph a selection of furniture from Cassina’s iconic collections. When placed under the sharp eye of Karl Lagerfeld, the furniture takes on new and mysterious qualities…
I was going through some of my Paris photos the other day, and I realised there were still a few gems I never got to tell you about. So I decided to bundle them all together in a post which is mostly related to Paris Design Week, but also the awesomeness of Paris in general (as a couple of the things I am sharing with you here are not related to the design week). Due to a huge amount of images which I always have such a hard time culling, I will bring you a couple of other posts focussing on different topics. So here goes…
Good morning yellowtrace friends and happy new week to you all. Now, now… You guys didn’t think I was finished with the Milan report for the year, did you? No way man! I have lots more stuff to show you. Well actually, I don’t. There’s only a little bit left to go, but I am determined to share with you (almost) everything I saw. So good of me, right? Right.
Today is a bit of a mixed bag of the things I saw and places I visited in various areas on different days throughout the week, which I had trouble grouping with other posts. So that’s how they get their own separate day. Enjoy!
