Upstairs is a more quiet restaurant space with plush leather seats, industrial mesh steel ceilings, abundance of brass detailing and glass-blown lights suspended on butchers hooks.

The restaurant experience culminates on the top floor called ‘The Den’, an exclusive 24-seat private dining room hidden behind a bookshelf filled with antiques reminiscent of a Victorian library.

With deep-sea shipping, refrigeration, road transport, agriculture, property development, and of course hotels, it was only a matter of time before Swire branched out into restaurants as well. Why not, it seems this company has a proven formula for guaranteed awesomeness and success, no matter the market sector. Mr & Mrs Fox is the latest feather in Swire’s cap, a restaurant that occupies three stories of a new serviced apartment in Taikoo Place in Hong Kong‘s Quarry Bay, formerly an office development (also owned by Swire, of course).

Designed by Charlie & Rose, Hong Kong-based architectural & interior design company owned by Australian designer Ben McCarthy – Mr & Mrs Fox is a 250-seat multi-level bar and restaurant with a craft beer-house at street level, raw bar and steakhouse on the first floor and a private dining room with its own terrace in the attic.

Offering a variety of unique dining options, Mr & Mrs Fox’s three floors each deliver a different experience. The restaurant’s rustic-meets-ritzy interiors evoke the fox persona portrayed in Roald Dahl’s classic fable – playful and stylish, with an ever-present sense of mischief.
