Milantrace 2017 is a true family project – Milantrace literally runs through my veins during the talk series; Nick not only shoots all the content, he also sorts out all the tech for the events; and our 5yo son, who’s our greatest work and inspiration, was super proud of his mama on the night. Awwww… Photography © Nick Hughes/ Yellowtrace.

Little video from one of our Milantrace2017 Sydney events (with some seriously lovely feedback from the attendees. Thank you guys!)

Dearest Friends!

It always feels super emotional reflecting back on the madness that was MILANTRACE Edizione 2017. In case you have no idea what I’m on about, please allow me to elaborate. Back in April, Team Yellowtrace travelled to Milan for Salone del Mobile in what’s become our annual design pilgrimage. Upon our return, we spent just over two months sharing with you all that was golden from this years’ premier design event via the MILANTRACE2017 dedicated microsite, in partnership with Living Edge. In parallel to this, we set out on a national speaking tour which saw yours truly deliver 7 sold-out talks in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane & Perth to the Australian design community.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again – regardless of the immense physical pain and the extraordinary workload this project brings to our little team, being able to connect with so many of you in person and take Yellowtrace into a live format is the most rewarding experience. Your support for #MILANTRACE2017 has reached a whole new level this year – the feedback and encouragement for this very ambitious project have been immensely humbling and deeply moving.

I would like to give final thanks to our wonderful friends at Living Edge, the Principal and Hosting Partner for MILANTRACE2017, who continue to put so much faith in us and what we do. I would also like to acknowledge the support of our airline partner, Cathay Pacific, who flew us all the way to Milan. Cathay have been such amazing supporters of what we do, and we couldn’t be any prouder of our ongoing relationship.

I leave you today with a little video from one of our events in Sydney (above) and more snaps from all of the events (below). But wait – there’s more! For the first time ever, we have made an exclusive uncut Milantrace Edizione 2017 E-Report available for purchase. This e-report includes everything presented in the Australian talk series including plenty of original photography and videos, plus additional information about Salone del Mobile and Milan Design Week that we couldn’t possibly share in the jam packed 90min live talk. You can find out more info and see some sample pages right here, complete with links to purchase. Please feel free to share this information with everyone you think might find this e-report useful and inspiring (duh, like… pretty much anyone who cares about design).

From the bottom of my heart, thank you again for all your support. Until next time…

Mama Yellowtrace x
