Although I’ve visited Milan a number of times during the Design Week and Salone del Mobile, this year was my very first time at EuroCucina. For the benefit of those who may not be aware, each year Salone del Mobile alternates the focus of 4 out of 24 halls in favour of either Lighting (Euroluce) or Kitchens & Bathrooms (EuroCucina & Salone Bagno).

What struck me the most this year was the commitment of many brands in creating a total, immersive, and “lived in” kitchen experience. The stands and the display went above and beyond the expected – the sets were fully furnished, propped and zhooshed to perfection with plants, artwork, artisan and vintage furniture and lighting.
