Glasgow-born Berlin-based designer Leigh Sachwitz’s studio flora&faunavisions has created a mesmerising interactive experience called “Insideout”. The installation was commissioned for the “Photography Playground” at the Triennale der Photographie in Hamburg. Consisting of a 360° multimedia installation, the project explores the idea of a house as a sanctuary and a safe haven.

Inside the greenhouse-like illuminated installation, the viewer experiences nature’s many forces from hearing the rain to watching the dark clouds gather above. When the protective walls disappear, the participants feel exposed and vulnerable in the eye of the storm. But once the storm has passed, there is a feeling of purity and freshness, and an overall sense of calm.

The visual installation is accompanied with sound design by the Berlin-based award-winning composer, musician and producer Andi Toma, one of the founding members of the electronic music collaboration Mouse on Mars.

Fully sick.
