Entry to Koskela’s new pop-up in Sydney’s Potts Point (or The Hood, as the locals like to refer to it).

I love these clever cinematic light boxes at the showroom entry and mixed in with all the lovely gear (the creators of which are on the blog later this week – ohmigod mate, talk about excellent timing) .

More loveliness from the showroom. Yes, that is a fishpond in the middle of the space. Amaze!

Hello everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was excellent – thanks for asking! In fact, yesterday I visited one of the most beautiful and “permanent looking” pop-up retail space I’ve ever seen. I’m taking about Koskela’s new pop-up showroom in Potts Point. Wowee – this is one truly beautiful space full of amazing things to discover complete with a retractable room with a giant fishpond in the middle. I kid you not!

Located in the old Martin Browne Gallery at 57 Macleay St in Potts Point, Koskela will be trading out of here until the end of the year while their new and highly anticipated showroom is being built. In this space you will find an edited collection of furniture, lighting, textiles, ceramics, home-wares and accessories, alongside lots of delicious new small products perfect for your home or for gift giving. Apparently this is a little taste of the kinds of things they will be doing in the new showroom next year. How exciting!

In love with the recycled paper bags in various shapes and sizes in the top images. I may or may not have given gifts in them before and pretend that I made the bag myself. Is that wrong? (I’m kidding!)

So much great stuff in the showroom.

It is no secret that I am a huge fan of Koskela (in fact, you may recall me blogging about them back here). Not only are they truly creative and clever with a bunch of wonderful initiatives under their belt, they are also one of those companies that simply ooze wholesomeness in everything they do. Their ethos is beautifully captured in their tag line – “Follow your heart, trust your judgement, do it with joy” and this new pop-up embodies all their qualities just beautifully.

Congratulations to the Koskela team on this wonderful pop-up. Sydney folk, make sure you go visit at least once before it’s gone by the end of the year. You will love it. I promise.

More images of great stuff including top left image which shows that retractable room with a giant fishpond in the middle of the space. Extreme love!
