What is interior landscaping? I have no idea. Is that even a real term? Well, apparently it is because I just googled it and it came up with a few links. Strange… And I thought I just coined a new phrase.

Anyway, I was recently searching for fun alternatives to traditional pot plants and ways of adding warmth to quite a raw and robust commercial interior I was working on. I was seriously excited when I came across these upside down planters.

Aren’t they just excellent? Why yes, I think so too!

They are called Sky Planters – designed by Patrick Morris for BOSSIKE, a New Zealand company. Apart from being very cool {and as if that’s not enough to convince you that they are totally awesome}, they are also completely drip-free, can be used indoors or out, you only need to water the plants once every 20-30 days {perfect for lazy people like me!}, they conserve water by using up to 90% less than a conventional planter and they don’t use up precious floor space {perfect for small spaces}. Design awesomeness alert!

The best thing about them is that we can buy them in Australia. Hooray! They are available through an online store called Design for Use.

If you would like to know more about how they work, you can watch this video.

And since we are on the topic of “Interior Landscaping” check out these lovelies from string gardens. Can’t really tell you much about them, other than that I find them absolutely glorious.
