Ah… How incredibly beautiful is Samantha Robinson’s work!? I wish I owned every single piece from her handmade porcelain collection. Pure and simple love.

These images were taken during my whirlwind visit of Life Instyle trade show last Friday. I didn’t have much time to hang around, but I had to stop to take a few {average} photos of her gorgeous work. It is evident that Samantha creates and displays her pieces with a lot of love, and it’s no surprise that her collection is sold through a few serious retailers both locally {i.e. HUB furniture, as seen in my recent post} and internationally {through cult retailer Anthropologie}. This steady growth and international success is a true testament of Samantha’s talent and ability. But what I really love about her is that she still choses to keep a market stall at Paddington and Bondi Markets as a way of staying in touch with her customers. Keeping it real – that counts as 10 extra points in my books.

Love your work Samantha!

I know, isn’t she amazing? And her work definitely looks a lot better – more beautiful and delicate in real life then in my photos.
I actually saw a lot of her stuff on the anthropology website {who now finally deliver to Australia – hooray!} so they should have it in their stores too.

Hi dana, I’m lucky enough to be married to Samantha and for over 12 years now I have seen her work evolve into an array of colour and form that very few artists can achieve. To say I’m proud of her is an understatement and her work has now finally come together in her own shop which features all of her unique handcrafted works as well as her new one off’s that can only be found here. I’m sitting in it right now and to see everyone’s reaction as they walk in is a complement to her in every way and dimension of love. To talk to people who ‘get’ her work is so enjoyable and gratifying. I’m also trying to use technology as a visual aid to sell her work not only around Australia but worldwide also. I’ve been sending photo’s etc of whats on our shelves ‘right now’ and people can simply choose what they like and I box it and ship it all in the same day. I’m going to start to Skype customers as well for live feeds. Very cool indeed. We’re located at 11A Transvaal Ave, Double Bay or in cyber world http://www.samantharobinson.com.au . Thanks for sharing the love. G

Have seen the Samantha Robinson works at the Paddington Markets – love the organic asymmetry and how light and airy the actual bowls are. And the patterns are to die for.
