For NYCxDesign Week 2018, female owned & led design studio Egg Collective presents “Designing Women II: Masters, Mavericks, Mavens”. Conceived of as a conversation across both time and space, the second iteration of the show builds upon the critical acclaim of 2017’s inaugural show.

This year’s exhibition features an international roster of work from both contemporary and historical female voices. Co-curated with Lora Appleton – founder of kinderMODERN and The Female Design Council – the selected works are intended to foster a conversation about how women have achieved success, blazed trails, and furthered their craft over time.

“When selecting work for the exhibition, together with Lora, we were careful to choose women who have developed a unique voice. Additionally, we made an effort to have a historic counterpart to the contemporary in every medium. Ultimately we sought to shine a light on great design that spoke to us in a significant way,” explained Egg Collective.

Designing Women II: Masters, Mavericks, & Mavens showcases the work of the following designers – Greta Magnusson Grossman, Mary Giles, Kristin Victoria Barron, Lilian Holm, Rooms, Sabine Marcelis, Mimi Jung, Heidi Abrahamson, Nicola L., Katie Stout, Egg Collective, Mira Nakashima, Sonwai – Verma Nequatewa, Marta Palmieri, Cini Boeri, Natalie Weinberger, Nanna Ditzel, Bari Ziperstein & Leza Mcvey.
