Welcome to our December edition of Yellowtrace Spotlight – the last one for 2016! Can you believe it? As we conclude the year that was, we have a selection of the best submissions we’ve received this month, from new interior projects – a super playful design hostel, a temporary cafe installation, minimal & textural retail stores, and lots more! The brief for this Redfern terrace called for an overall sense of calmness, with a focus on texture, and simple but sophisticated detailing.

Designed by Icelandic studio Dodlur, the interior of ODDSSON hotel/ hostel on Reykjavík’s waterfront radiates freshness, playfulness and originality.
