DEDON Launches Flagship Showroom in Sydney.

DEDON, a German pre-eminent luxury outdoor furniture brand, has launched its flagship Australian showroom in Sydney’s design precinct at “The Cannery” in Rosebery.

Founded in 1990, DEDON established a pioneering vision for designer outdoor furniture, working tirelessly on creating outstanding hand-crafted furniture that incorporates the artistry of weaving from the Island of Cebu in the Philippines.

Over the past 25 years, DEDON has set the benchmark for outdoor living and design, priding itself on innovation and acting as a platform for global creative talents including, Philippe Starck, Jean-Marie Massaud and Sebastian Herkner, all of whom create collections for the brand portfolio.

Highlights and icons amongst the collections include the iconic NESTREST lounger by Daniel Pouzet and Fred Frety, an organic cocoon hanging structure which has become an icon in contemporary design; the RAYN by Philippe Starck, a collection that has an indoor level of comfort and sophistication; TIGMI by Jean-Marie Massaud, which merges a sofa and shelter into a new typology that gives the sense of being indoors in an outdoor setting; MBRACE collection by Sebastian Herkner which takes a unique approach to poolside furniture, bringing DEDON fibre seating and a solid teak base together in the spirit of barefoot luxury; amongst many others.

Continuing its award-winning approach in 2018, DEDON will unveil new collaborations with emerging and established designers including Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, who will extend their Tibbo teak collection to include lounge settings; and Lorenza Bozzoli who will be expanding DEDON’s fully upholstered collection of pieces.
