Relm Furniture is making inroads into the Australian furniture scene with a new range of solid timber stools entitled ‘Crop’. Recently shown at Melbourne’s DEN Fair, the range is based around good proportions, beautiful materials and a love of exposed joinery. “Exposed timber joinery adds a lovely warmth,” says Jason Stancombe, owner of Relm. “It references the craft of furniture making and provides a more personal feeling product. It suggests influence by man, not just fabrication by machine.”

Each stool is hand assembled from a blend of solid American and Tasmanian Oaks, with a customisable powder coated aluminium accent. A design feature of the stools is the signature ‘crop’ which slices an angle through the top of each leg exposing the end grain and joinery.
