I’ve always had a genuine fascination with the concept of turning trash into treasure, so today’s post really hits the spot for me. San Francisco based photographer Laurie Frankel teamed up with Diane Gatterdam to create a fascinating series of still life images titled ‘Recycled Beauty’. The final result is nothing short of spectacular, capturing the mood resembling the paintings by Dutch masters.
Italian photographer Chiara Goia travelled to Dong Cheng, a small village in China where artists are responsible for producing imitations of renowned classical sculptures. I ache for the irony, the beauty and the bizarre nature of these images.

Dearest Yellowtracers, Can you believe we’ve almost reached the end of another amazing year together? What more could I possibly say that I haven’t already? You know I totally love you guys, right? By now it should be bleeding obvious. I heard a little saying the other day which made me laugh and I wanted to share it with you guys. “Life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes”…
George Clooney has got to be the ultimate silver fox. That aside, the sheer brilliance of Yayoi Kusama is enough to make me squeal with excitement. To top the whole thing off, just put Georgey-baby in an incredible Giorgio Armani suite, let Kusama go sick on him with her dots, bring in Emma Summerton to photograph the whole thing, and you’ve got yourself one epic cover shoot for W Magazine Dec 2013/ Jan 2014 issue…
Most things I post about make me feel inspired in some way. Some make me laugh. Others make me cry.”If only for a second” makes me feel it all…
