    Highlights From Venice Architecture Biennale 2014.

    4th July

    The Venice Biennale has been one of the world’s most prestigious cultural institutions for over a century, alternating each year between hosting Art and Architecture exhibitions. This year, the 14th International Architecture Exhibition takes place from 7 June to 23 November at the Giardini, the Arsenale and various other venues throughout Venice. The title chosen for the exhibition by this year’s curator & prominent Dutch architect, Rem Koolhaas, is Fundamentals.

In our July edition you can read about a selection of the best submissions we have received in the past month, we’re talking – exhibitions, restaurants, products, art projects, office and shop interiors, etc.



    OBJECT FUTURE II // Future of Australian Design on Show in Melbourne.

    OBJECT FUTURE II is the second in a series of exhibitions that survey the latest design practice in Australia. The show opens on June 27 at Allpress Studio in Melbourne’s Collingwood. This independently organised and curated design exhibition will showcase the work by Australian based designers, offering a platform for emerging and established designers to exhibit ideas-based products.

    Within the iconic Cité radieuse in Marseilles designed by Le Corbusier, Apartment N°50 was scrupulously protected in its original 1952 state, classified as a “Historic Monument” in 1995. It opens regularly to the public during the summer months to exhibit the work of a few of the most talented contemporary international designers within this outstanding space. A short series of scenographic installations has been realised over the years; Jasper Morrison (2008), Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec (2010) Konstantin Grcic (2012), and now for its fourth session, the French designer Pierre Charpin.

    Dearest Yellowtracers! The final chapter of MILANTRACE Edizione 2014 – our very first and slightly awesome interactive digital magazine & video series, dedicated to Milan Design Week 2014 is finally here. Team Yellowtrace has taken things to the next level with our Milan report this year. Truth be told, we hadn’t quite realised how epic this task was going to be, but man it feels so good to have it done and ready to share with you guys. MILANTRACE is a totally new concept, and this interactive digital magazine represents an exciting step for Yellowtrace, and for the future of reporting about Milan Design Week.
