Located in the Dutch Kills area, Boro Hotel describes itself as “the first design-centric boutique property in this rapidly evolving neighbourhood.” With 108 rooms designed by Grzywinski + Pons, the hotel carries shades of the wildly successful Williamsburg Wythe in both its floor-to-ceiling panoramic views and general decor.

The now familiar soft industrial look sees concrete, oak floors and painted pallet wood paneling meet leather, cork and sisal with lighting and furniture from Jasper Morrison for Vitra, Muuto, Blu Dot and DD Interior dotted around the bedrooms and the communal spaces, restaurant, bar and coffee shop. The lobby area welcomes guests where there’s a communal table for self check-in. Pale, hand scraped oak floors bring a natural element to the communal spaces, which are outfitted with modern furnishings.
